Front-end development

Front-end developers are responsible for building the user interface and ensuring a seamless user experience. A strong foundation in the basics of front-end development starts by learning HTML (HyperText Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and JavaScript. These three technologies form the core building blocks of front-end development. Being a front-end developer, you are able to present a working website on the web, which is called a static website.
Back-end development
Back-end development focuses on the server-side of a web application. It is a crucial role in the field of technology and software development. Back-end developers are responsible for writing code that runs on the server, handles requests from the client-side, interacts with databases, and performs complex calculations and business logic. They work with languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP and use frameworks like Node.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails to build robust and scalable server-side applications.
Front-end and Back-end developer
Front end developers focus on the user interface and design elements that users interact with, while back end developers work behind the scenes to ensure that the application runs smoothly, processes and displays data correctly.
Knowing both front-end and back-end development, you are considered to be a full-stack developer. This title indicates that you have the skills to work on the entire technology stack that comprises a web application, from the user interface to the server, database, and everything in between.
